In his role as Senior Regional Director of Oracle Systems, Edward takes full responsibility for the Oracle Hardware business in East and West Africa. He works closely with his MEA team, the regional territory managers and the sales consulting teams to grow the Oracle hardware business.
His team is responsible for all transformative Hardware and Cloud Infrastructure business at Oracle East and West Africa. Some of these systems are SPARC servers, x86 servers, Archive systems, Networking and Storage Hardware. These are also the fundamental building blocks for Oracle Engineered Systems such as Exadata, SuperCluster, Exalogic, Exalytics, Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Big Data, etc. They are also the building blocks for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) and all [email protected] systems. All of these systems are co-developed with other Oracle Engineering teams (Unbreakable Linux, OVM, Solaris-x86, Oracle Database, Middleware, Applications, and System Management) to provide Oracle customers the highest performance and value attainable.
Edward joined Oracle from IBM and has over fifteen years of industry experience. Edward has a master’s degree in Computer Science, majoring in cyber security from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing a PhD on Cyber Terrorism.
